
Nimesh Parekh
A serial entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience in healthcare and health insurance related services with experience in having set up the first Third Party Administrator in India in 1996. He currently serves as Chairman (non-executive), UnitedHealthcare - India Group Companies.
Prior to this, Nimish launched the first Third Party Administrator in India - Sedgwick Parekh Health Management in 1996. He sold a majority stake in Sedgwick Parekh to UnitedHealth Group (NYSE:UNH), a fortune 37 company with revenues of over $45 billion, in 2005. UnitedHealth Group is a leading diversified health and well-being enterprise that covers over 50 million people with various products such as managed care plans and ASO plans.
Nimish graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with degrees in Computer Science and Electrical & Computer Engineering. Prior to University, Nimish attended the Cathedral & John Connon School in Mumbai.
Nimish serves on FICCI's Insurance & Pensions Committee, CII's National Healthcare Committee, the IRDA's Health Insurance Working Group, the Editorial Board of the IRDA journal. He also serves as a member of the Advisory Board on Voluntary Health Insurance at The World Bank.
